For MM Students Jr. Conversion Specialist

at Belk, Inc in Charlotte, NC

Position Summary
The Jr. Conversion Specialist is responsible for managing revenue driving activities outside of normal day to day category promotional spots utilizing rule-based merchandising, dynamic product assortments, dynamic personalized content insertion and A/B testing on Belk.com. This individual will be the subject matter expert (SME) with Endeca, CoreMetrics Intelligent Offer, Certona, Monetate and A/B Testing. This position will report to the Content Strategy and QA Manager, and will partner extensively with the Sr. Conversion Specialist to ensure coverage at all times on all functions.


Essential Functions
A Jr. Conversion Specialist will be expected to perform in the following areas:

 Endeca Search & Browse

• Utilize Endeca tools, web analytics, and usability testing to identify product search and browser related opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, conversion rate and sales.
• Manage ongoing rule-based merchandising and day to day tuning of search and browse product listing results using Endeca tools and partnership with IT, Web Merchants, Marketing, User Experience, Creative, and Web Analysts.
• Optimize search to improve findability of product listings on Belk.com.
• Responsible for sales revenue growth from the search results pages, and the continuous improvement from these pages.

 CoreMetrics Intelligent Offer and Certona

• Partner with Web Merchants and Web Analysts to optimize product recommendations site-wide using the CoreMetrics Intelligent Offer tool, Certona, web analytics and usability testing results.
• Responsible for driving revenue growth from cross sells and identifying additional revenue opportunities within the site using these tools.

 A/B Testing

• Project Manage A/B Testing by partnering with Web Merchants, User Experience, Content Strategy, Creative, Web Analytics, and Front End Developer teams to identify, implement, test, and analyze A/B Testing.

 Monetate Management

• Partner with Content Strategists, Interactive Marketing, UX and Web Merchants to gain solid understanding of merchandising and promotional strategy. Create plans for dynamic personalized offers and optimize rule-based merchandising opportunities throughout the year.
• Develop and implement best practices for business rules and related processes across all Belk.com content for Monetate personalized offer engine.
• Provide weekly actionable reports detailing insights and opportunities for all Monetate campaigns.
• Project manage all Monetate content development.
• Setup and implement all Monetate campaigns working with vendor directly to generate ideas, plans and tests.
• Responsible for sales revenue growth that is directly attributable to successful execution of Monetate campaigns.

Position Requirements
• BS in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years eCommerce experience
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience
• Minimum 3 years Internet merchandising and Internet marketing experience
• Minimum 1 year of web analytics experience
• Experience in A/B or Multivariate test planning, execution and analysis
• Experience in Endeca business tool or similar search engine business tools
• Solid understanding of direct response marketing theories
• Experience in Intelligent Offer tool or similar product recommendation business tools
• Thorough understanding of structured and unstructured data, and ability to make connections between data and business goals
• Experience in software vendor management
• Solid understanding of Online user behaviors, Web Analytics, and Internet technology

• Available and able to travel as needed.
• Able to see and distinguish colors.
• Able to sit for a long period of hours
