Web Analyst

We are seeking a digital marketing web analyst to help us continue to develop a deeper understanding of how dealers and consumers are using 1stdibs so we can make the site more useful and grow our already highly engaged audience. This role will require a curious, analytical individual who is comfortable translating large amounts of data into actionable insights and communicating results clearly.
Responsibilities:
Serve as key collector and interpreter of data for the company - create and distribute a variety of web analytics reports using Google Analytics
Define reporting requirements for new product enhancements and work closely with consultants to build additional reporting capabilities
Work closely with the product, marketing, technology, and sales teams to understand each team’s data needs and provide reports that will help make each team member more productive
Work with director to develop and implement effective consumer feedback mechanisms and testing agenda
Measure and suggest optimizations and testing ideas for all avenues of consumer acquisition and retention - SEO, SEM, Email, Partnerships, Social and Display media efforts
Assist with creation of dealer reporting tools
Connect web analytics data with back-end consumer and dealer databases to derive additional insights, develop advanced lifetime value analysis, intelligently segment our audiences and perform cohort analysis
Requirements:
Deep experience with web analytics – looking for enterprise level Google Analytics user, professionally trained and/or certified. Experience with Omniture, WebTrends, and other analytics platforms accepted but Google Analytics preferred

Minimum of 3 years experience analyzing data. Ideally in roles with both web analytics and broader financial or business-strategy responsibilities
Expert at MS Excel
Detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills
Experience with A-B testing preferred
Strong initiative - ideal candidate will conceive research projects and execute based on open business/analysis questions without direct instruction
Passion for understanding how and why people do what they do and optimizing products to address needs
Experience with business intelligence tools such as RJMetrics, MicroStrategy, Cognos, etc with experience writing sql queries
