Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013Scotts Valley, California (MarketWire) January 15, 2013 –Jeff Hasen, Chief Marketing Officer of mobile marketing leader Hipcricket and author of the acclaimed book called Mobilized Marketing, has joined digital marketing curriculum publisher Market Motive to launch a new training course. ![]()
Hasen, who remains in his Hipcricket position, brings a powerful pedigree to the development of mobile marketing training. He co-created the certification program for the Mobile Marketing Association, and is one of only two individuals certified by the MMA to train professionals and students on mobile marketing definitions, techniques and benefits. He recently was the sole trainer for certification at the Direct Marketing Association’s national conference.
Hasen, named one of the top Chief Marketing Officers on Twitter (@jeffhasen), is among the most frequently quoted voices in mobile and social. Hasen is the author of Mobilized Marketing: Driving Sales, Engagement, and Loyalty Through Mobile Devices, published by Wiley. The book, called “instructive and inspirational” by a leading senior advertising executive, focuses on how everything and nothing has changed – it’s still about selling products and services with the “how” being different. ![]()
Hasen works with companies to win at what he calls the “Moments of Trust” that impact sales and brand loyalty. He teaches marketers to effectively interact with some of the more than 320 million consumers who are armed with a mobile device and a voice that can instantly change or reinforce public opinion.
“I’m excited to launch this mobile marketing course with Market Motive, the undeniable leader in digital marketing curriculum,” says Hasen. “Mobile is no longer a ‘nice to have’. Consumers are rewarding brands that deliver on mobile and punishing others that fail to meet or beat expectations. Rich with instruction, real-life case studies and insights from dozens of marketers, this course is designed to help marketers sell more stuff.”
Current University and licensing partners may start using the curriculum immediately. “The mobile marketing training curriculum will initially launch as a part of our wholly restructured Internet Marketing Fundamentals course in January,” says Scott Milrad, Director of Online Education at Market Motive. “We’ll be adding more mobile marketing video lessons and exercises as fast as our production team can get them done, and we’ll have a complete standalone curriculum by June, that leads to a Mobile Marketing Certification from Market Motive, and an OMCP® Certification as well.”
Hasen will be a welcome addition to Market Motive’s highly respected faculty Dream Team, which includes industry luminaries like Avinash Kashik, Bryan Eisenberg, Brad Geddes, Jennifer Cario, Todd Malicoat, Greg Jarboe and Matt Bailey. “We’ve worked hard to build a faculty roster that the industry respects,” says Market Motive COO Mark Lamkin. “The addition of Jeff Hasen reinforces that commitment. We considered a number of qualified candidates from inside the mobile marketing industry; but in the end, Jeff’s undeniable expertise, passion for teaching, and the respect he enjoys within the industry made him the clear choice. We’re excited to add Jeff’s invaluable mobile marketing expertise to the quality Internet marketing training curricula our students have come to expect.”
